About Kiri
Kiri was born in East Anglia in 1975. She grew up on the coast spending a lot of time in local nature reserves, much of it in wellies pond-dipping in the rain!
Her longstanding passion for nature and wildlife was reawakened when she moved to a small South Oxfordshire village near the historic Ridgeway in 2008. Soon after, she was given her first DSLR and the world of photography opened up.
Since then she has been combining her love of the natural world with photography. She particularly enjoys butterflies, dragonflies and other forms of macro photography . Many of her images are taken locally in Oxfordshire and Berkshire nature reserves. She has also travelled further afield, recently visiting Finland to photograph wild bears and wolves and Florida to photograph sea-birds.
She is a co-founder of wildphotoforum.com – an exciting new online community that’s all about celebrating the natural world around us through all genres of photography.
Kiri is passionate about conservation and believes that the interests of any animal should always come first.
